Why is Panoto-S not sold in the USA?

In the USA, Panoto-S and other products containing Hedera helix may be less common, partially due to the stringent regulations by the FDA regarding the approval and marketing of herbal remedies. The medical community in the U.S. often favors pharmaceuticals that have undergone extensive clinical testing over herbal or natural remedies.

What is Panoto-S?

Panoto-S is a blend of herbs and natural ingredients. These elements are balanced to ensure respiratory health. The formula consists of honey (which is non-toxic and has powerful anti-bacterial properties), Hedera Helix (helps to support a healthy respiratory help), cranberry and paper flower extract. It is typically used to alleviate symptoms associated with respiratory disorders such as bronchitis, cough, and inflammation of the airways. The ivy extract acts as an expectorant, helping to clear mucus from the airways, and also possesses antispasmodic properties that help relieve coughing.

This drug is used for symptomatic treatment:

  • acute and chronic inflammatory diseases of the bronchi, trachea;
  • acute inflammatory diseases of the respiratory tract, accompanied by cough.

Dosage and administration

The drug is used orally, regardless of the meal.

Recommended dosages are:

  • children aged 2 to 6 years – 2.5 ml three times a day;
  • children aged 6 to 10 years – 5 ml three times a day;
  • сhildren aged 10 years and adults – 5-7.5 ml, three times a day.

The drug can be diluted with water, sweet tea or fruit juice before use.

The duration of treatment is from 7 to 10 days. Shake well before use.

Increasing the dosage will not improve the therapeutic effect, however, it can cause unwanted side effects, so the recommended dosage should not be exceeded.

The faster you start taking the drug at the first symptoms of the disease, the better the result will be.

Diseases of the liver or kidneys are not subject to adjust the dosage, frequency or duration of treatment.

Popularity and Usage in Specific Countries

Panoto-S is particularly popular in European and Latin American countries where herbal and natural remedies are commonly integrated into medical practices. It’s favored in these regions due to its effectiveness, general safety, and acceptance of herbal treatments in managing respiratory symptoms.
